Ted Thompson
Ted Thompson is a registered lobbyist and has been a partner with Thompson & Associates, LLC, since 2011. He is engaged in actively lobbying lawmakers at the Mississippi State Capitol on behalf of the firm’s clients on a wide range of issues, including agriculture, appropriations, economic development, education, energy, environmental regulation, finance, gaming, healthcare, insurance, Medicaid, oil and gas, public health, public safety, taxation, telecommunications, tourism, transportation and utilities.
A Jackson native, Thompson is a 1989 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Banking Finance and Management Finance from the University of Mississippi in 1993. He has an extensive professional background in sales and marketing, beginning his career in commercial sales with Entergy Mississippi. Prior to joining Thompson & Associates, he embarked on a career in telecommunications with Air2Lan and, later, Time Warner Cable and Comcast, handling major commercial accounts.
Thompson and his wife Kimberly have three sons, Nicholas, Luke and Doss, and they are active members of Holy Trinity – St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to family activities, he is an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman.
